We highly recommend our parents and carers invest in a quality instrument right from the start. Cheap instruments make it difficult for students to take to the instrument, resulting in students pulling out of the program.

Cheap instruments have the following issues:

• They have not been setup by a professional luthier
• They come with cheap strings
• They are cheaply made – an obvious point, however, the consequences are:
  • They don’t stay in tune
  • The sound is ‘tinny’
  • The bows don’t function properly
  • Difficult to service when something goes wrong

Our packages for violins, violas, and cellos come with a quality instruments that have been setup by a professional luthier. A purchase through us also enables prompt service or repair should it be required.
